Mage Strike
Transmutation cantrip
Casting time: 1 action
Range: Self (5-foot radius)
Components: S, M (a melee weapon worth at least 1 sp)
Duration: 1 round

You brandish the weapon used in the spell’s casting and make a melee attack with it against one creature within 5 feet of you. You can use your spellcasting ability modifier instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls, and the weapon's damage counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical damage. You may also use a d6 in place of the weapon's normal damage dice.

At 5th level, you can use a d8 for the weapon's damage die. At 11th level, you can use a d10, and at 17th level, you can use a d12.
