Wisps of gel-like flame encompass your arm and coalesce in your hand, quickly arching along a curved path towards a creature you can see within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 5d10 fire damage immediately and an additional 1d10 fire damage at the start of each of its turns for a number of turns equal to your spellcasting ability modifier. On a miss, each creature in a 5-foot-radius sphere centered on the target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 5d10 fire damage, and flammable objects within 5 feet of the target are ignited.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage (including initial, later, and area) increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 5th.
