Notable Places[edit]

Capital: These scattered islands designated Henzish as their capital. It is located on one of the more agriculturally diverse islands, Iwa-oh.

Cijel: This lush city is home to the cijelese people and occupies the entire island. After having been driven from the mainland, they sought refuge in one of the lushest islands in Doru. They remain a sovereign power under the Doru territorial kingdom and are very suspicious of anyone from the mainland. It is notable that they generally do not allow any forms of automated technology to enter their villages.

Emirit: Also known as Mount Emi, Emirit is a semiactive volcano located on the largest southernmost island of Doru. The island is also named Emirit'i, a bit confusingly so. The valados populate this island and worship Mount Emi as a manifestation of the Old One Aeolus. Due to the expulsions of Emirit, the island is a very fertile area and boasts excellent crop growth.

Posimpsis: This island is known for having a niche population of goblins. Posimpsis is called "No-man's Island" due to the hostility these goblins often display, as they are highly volatile, known to ritually drown outsiders that they capture on their beaches as sacrifices to something they claim dwells in the Southernmost Sleeping Wallow...

The Ghost Sea is the nickname for the waters south of Doru's recognized jurisdiction that surrounds the area by the southernmost Sleeping Wallow's location. There are often reports of heavy mists in the area, as well as strange sightings of ships that appear to have risen from the depths of the sea itself, replete with undead crews that terrorize those foolish enough to venture there.

La'ita is the island divided in jurisdiction between the Doru Islands and Kalim. The island was originally part of a conquest by the Kharim caliphate. However, following the civil war of the caliphate, the island declared independence and revolted. Following the Jafa'is Treaty, it was split in two, the Kharim half being Geverardi, and the other half returned to the Doru Islands as La'ita. Many of the Doru Islanders here resent the line drawn on what they see to be their land. Even more salt on the wound is that the fall of the Kharim empire did not return the island wholly to them, only having it be succeeded by Kalim. Also, Kalim's portion of the island is visibly bigger...

Sugorsi and Hsahi are sister islands that are rumored to not actually be islands. Sugorsi is said to actually be a zaratan, or world turtle. It is an island environment atop a massive turtle's shell. Hsahi similarly is rumored to be a whale that grows fertile forests on its back. The two islands are known to disappear for months and suddenly appear elsewhere in the waters within Doru territory.

Cannibalism and Heresy

On the island of Posimpsis, often known to be uninhabitable and even named "No-man's Island," a ship is believed to have been wrecked there, containing not only treasures but also a missing boatload of shipmen from the central Doru territorial kingdom. The island is rumored by seafolk to be home to depraved creatures, if any, and many say it would have been better to be uninhabited...

A Fifth Hope

The advent of the birth of kra'akas in Khaire is often attributed to the roots of the Sacred Tree Eriath that run underfoot outward from the Barrya Jungle through the beaches of Khaire. The presence of Kra'Akas on the island near Cijel, known as Sa'mwan, leads some cijelese to hope and believe that there is the possibility of a fifth sacred tree there.
