For the duration, you know if there is a creature which is not native to the plane you are in or an object that has been in a different plane in the last week within 30 feet of you. If you detect anything in this way, you can use your action to see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that fulfills the conditions, and you learn the plane where it came from if you have visited it at least once before.
The spell can penetrate most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt.
