Dazreor (4e Deity)
Lawful Neutral
Domains: Forge, Earth
Warpriest Domain: Forge
Dazreor was one of the minor deities in the Old World Pantheon. He was part of the Alliance of Four Meditations, and primarily was known as the creator of the gnome race. However, he is also known for having shaped some of the Bevellian continent's geography. He commonly worked under Vatar and was a maker of innovative weapons. He was a soft-spoken and gentle deity who liked to be left to his work and machinations. Following the Gorge, he receded into his workshop, said to be hidden within the central trunk area of the World Tree. There, he crafts and tinkers his days away in sorrowful silence. He is often said to travel occasionally up and down the tree as a sort of handyman to fix parts of the tree with his clever inventions. But he often rues that they are mostly temporary. Of his followers, he had the following tenets:
- Focus on your work and hone what you are good at and you will create your own reward.
- Treat others as you would have them treat you. Do not disturb what does not disturb you.
- Even the hardest mountain can be brought down with enough wit and ingenuity.
Description[edit]
The gnome god he is, Dazreor resembles essentially a giant gnome as tall as the highest peaks of the ranges that run through Bevel with tanned skin. He is shown to have stringy long black hair that is only kept out of his face when he is working hard on crafting something. He has a long nose and pimples pepper his face. Many would note he appears homely, as he is not a god that cares for appearance. His hands are large with callouses from handling his tools. He is usually depicted carrying his hammer and a bag of tools in another hand. At his moments of wrath, he has the strength to flatten mountains and part seas with a swing of his weapon.

Temples[edit]
Shrines in Dazreor's name were built into the Fhalatian Range, on the side of Labare. They are usually large for gnomes, and double as forges. Gnomish smiths will have a small place at their hearths for a Dazreor idol as well so the god may bless their workplace with serenity. Post-Gorge, Dazreor has a few shattered temples among the shards of Macar, Bisquot, and Durenshi.
Allies[edit]
While part of the alliance, Dazreor was more often seen as a bystander than a true ally to most. Those he himself would call allies were few, including Vatar, Orelia, and Anheldr. As they have all died off following the Gorge, Dazreor has become a very lonely and isolated god amid a world of madness.
