Corinth's Healing Sacrifice
2nd-level Abjuration
Casting time: 1 action
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous

You reach within yourself to draw out a portion of your own life essence, channeling it into a creature of your choice that you can see within range. The target regains a number of hit points equal to 5d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier, while you take necrotic damage equal to the amount healed. You may also select one of the following effects to apply to the target:

1. Increased damage on their next attack by 2d4.

2. Increased AC until the end of your next turn. (+2d4)

3. Resistance to a damage type of your choice

4. Increased chance to succeed on skill checks (+2d4 to the result)

If you drop below 0 HP you instead drop to 1 HP and become prone.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the healing increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd. And the additional effects increase by 1d4 for each level above 3rd.
