Cane of Earth-Shaking (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Staff, legendary (requires attunement by a cleric, druid or wizard)

This cane has 4 charges and regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. The cane can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff. On a hit, it deals damage as a normal quarterstaff, and you can expend 1 charge to attempt to magically shake the target. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be knocked prone.
Additionally, while you are holding this cane, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC: earthquake (4 charges), meld into stone (1 charge), or wall of stone (3 charges).
If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the cane vibrates for a split second and loses its magical properties, becoming a nonmagical staff. When you cast earthquake with the cane, the cane shatters in your hand immediately after you cast the spell.
