Bleed[edit]

Most creatures have a Bleed Resistance equal to their number of hit dice multiplied by 10. However, creatures without blood (such as skeletons) have no stat as they cannot be affected by Bleed, and creatures with a lot of blood (such as dragonblood oozes) have half this number.

When a creature with blood is attacked by a weapon with Bleed Buildup this is known as 'suffering Bleed Buildup'. When a creature suffers Bleed Buildup, their Bleed is increased by that value. This value decreases by 5 at the beginning of each of the creature's turns. When a creature's Bleed value is equal to or greater than its Bleed Resistance, it take damage equal to its number of hit dice. Its current Bleed then resets to 0 (excess Bleed does not roll over).
