The continent of Bevel

Kingdoms[edit]

Preius is the predominant power on this continent, boasting a track record of imperialism that won them the most fertile territories. They, at one point, did almost conquer the entire continent. However, their expansion seaward to the south were partially thwarted by terrain and Sithi. The military might of Preius allows it to collect tribute from most of its conquered neighbors as placation, fostering underlying resentment toward the powerful seeming empire.

Preius[edit]

Arguably one of the most advanced and expansive civilizations of the Old World, Preius was virtually an empire that spanned much of the continent. Their neighbors were reduced to practically tributary states and they had ambitions to extend far beyond their nautical limits. However, many of their overseas expeditions were thwarted due to distance and powerful natives who resisted conquest.

Arana[edit]

Arana is one of the small kingdoms located at the southern tip of Bevel. They have had a fractious history due to the many groups which resist their central authority. This ultimately led to their subjugation by Preius.

Sithi[edit]

This nation has perhaps one of the most compressed populations in the world. Their people are believed to have migrated from Dasoon originally onto Bevel's southeastern coast. Their dense population and mixed culture proved to be an asset as they have effectively warded off most attempts to conquer them from Preius.

Labare[edit]

The nation lying west of Preius long relied on the Fhalatian Range as a form of protection from the growing giant next door. They are known to have the largest population of gnomes in the Old World.

Fecht[edit]

Largely in the shadows of Mount Gar, Fecht is a loose confederacy of mountain-dwelling races. Among them are orcs, gnoll, goblinoids, and goliaths. While these people are certainly forces to be reckoned with, the division between their groups led to their inability to resist Preius' influence.

Landmarks[edit]

The temperate climate of Bevel develops breathtaking scenery in nature, and the majesty of the two ranges is unparalleled anywhere else in the world.
