Aspect of Twilight[edit]
Zoe, Aspect of Twilight |
Warlock Subclass
Within the realm of the celestial realm of Targon Prime lies the Aspect of Twilight. A being that presides over mischief, imagination, and change itself. You have been chosen by this celestial to become its vessel and have been transformed into the new Aspect of Twilight. Will you carry out your duties in an unbiased and respectful manner as things are supposed to? Or will you sow chaos and discord freely letting your creativity and mind wander free? Or are you just here for the adventure and fun?
Expanded Spell List[edit]
The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
Spell Level | Spells |
---|---|
1st | paddle star, lucky star |
2nd | peek-a-boo, misty step |
3rd | sleepy trouble bubble, spell thief, nondetection |
4th | warping step, confusion |
5th | dimensional travel, teleportation circle |
More Sparkles![edit]
At 1st level, whenever you channel the powers of twilight, you often have excess energy lingering. Until the end of your next turn, after casting a spell, you overflow with twilight energy. As a bonus action or an action, you may make a ranged spell attack against a creature within 30ft of you. On a hit, they take half of your proficiency bonus (rounded up)d6 radiant damage. At 5th level, you may now add your spellcasting modifier to the damage of more sparkles. At 11th level, redirecting paddle star will now grant you the effects of More Sparkles! when used the following turn after the spell is cast. At 17th level, you now deal your (proficiency bonus)d6 radiant damage instead.
Everchild[edit]
Also, at 1st level, with Twilight selecting you to be its aspect, your body shifts, and changes to better accommodate your role granting you proficiency in the Arcana skill. With the powers of twilight flowing through you you no longer age nor feel the effects of growing old, however, your body overflows with youth transforming you to look as if a member of your race who has almost entered adulthood. You learn the thaumaturgy cantrip and it does not count against your cantrips known. Additionally, your form can't be changed by others by force, although you can still accept transmutation effects if you wish and you now count as a celestial in addition to your previous racial type.
Cosmic Messenger[edit]
Starting at 6th level, your movement speed can no longer be reduced by any means (except by conditions), and whenever you are under the effect of a spell, effect, or feature (with the exception to this subclass's features) that causes or affects movement, you may double the effective range of the displacement effect or double the movement speed increase.
Additionally, you may now Portal Jump on your turn as either an action or bonus action. Portal Jumping will allow you to transport only yourself up to your current movement speed away from your current location regardless of having vision of the location. Once your turn ends, you will immediately be transported back to your original location. This displacement does not incur attacks of opportunity outside. You can linger at a location which you portal Jumped to for a maximum of one minute before being transported back to your original location.
Embodiment of Mischief[edit]
At 10th level, you gain an additional bonus action on your turns, and whenever you use spell thief, or a spell of 3rd tier or higher you gain a burst of movement speed until the end of your next turn granting you movement speed equal to 5* your proficiency bonus and allowing you to not incur attacks of opportunity for the duration.
Additionally, whenever you cast the stolen spell from your spell thief, you gain another burst of movement speed in addition to summoning three orbs that float harmlessly around you. Casting a spell of 3rd Tier or higher will also summon these orbs, which will last until they have all been expended or until the end of your next turn. The orbs will target any hostile creature who you move within 5ft of and deal damage equal to your More Sparkles! feature similar to the magic missile spell. A creature cannot be struck again by this feature unless you move more than 5ft away from that creature and then move within 5ft of them again.
Herald of Change[edit]
At 14th level, your presence and actions herald changes on a major scale to the very world around you. Once per long rest, you may cast the teleport spell treating the spell as if casting using a permanent circle. Finally, you may now redirect your paddle star spell a second time by using either an action or bonus action on your turn.
