Towering avian humanoids with wings in place of arms, fokkeru are colored a bright red—and difficult not to notice. These creatures are most often seen standing guard in great temples, among other locations of great value or ancient significance. They are known to keep watch for centuries or more, seemingly charged with this task by deities or great sages. Any who would attempt to pass by them are burned to ash by non-stop barrages of magical flame spat from the fokkeru's incinerating beak. Fokkeru usually associate with fokka, hence the similarity of their names. A fokkeru is only distantly related to true rito. Unlike them, a fokkeru more often than not pays allegiance to an evil overlord such as Ganon or Vaati, and often has a darker disposition. |
