Courage. The fokkeru has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Magic Resistance. The fokkeru has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Reactive. The fokkeru can take a reaction on every creature's turn in combat.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The fokkeru makes three flame hurl attacks, or one beak attack and two talon attacks.

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) fire damage.

Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) slashing damage.

Flame Hurl. Ranged Spell Attack: +9 to hit, range 20 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (4d6) fire damage. Any 5-foot-square of ground hit by the attack burns with magical flame until the start of the fokkeru's next turn, and any creature that starts its turn in the flame or moves into the flame takes 7 (2d6) fire damage.

REACTIONS

Snap Shot. The fokkeru makes an opportunity attack with its flame hurl, as if it was a melee weapon with a reach of 20 feet. A creature damaged by this attack is restrained until the end of its turn.

Towering avian humanoids with wings in place of arms, fokkeru are colored a bright red—and difficult not to notice. These creatures are most often seen standing guard in great temples, among other locations of great value or ancient significance. They are known to keep watch for centuries or more, seemingly charged with this task by deities or great sages. Any who would attempt to pass by them are burned to ash by non-stop barrages of magical flame spat from the fokkeru's incinerating beak.

Fokkeru usually associate with fokka, hence the similarity of their names. A fokkeru is only distantly related to true rito. Unlike them, a fokkeru more often than not pays allegiance to an evil overlord such as Ganon or Vaati, and often has a darker disposition.
