Keen Sight. The helmaroc has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Powerful Build. The kargaroc counts as one size larger when determining its carrying capacity and the weight it can push, drag, or lift. Its carrying capacity is 510 lb.

ACTIONS

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage.

Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, and the kargaroc is not already grappling a creature, the target is grappled (escape DC 13).

Drop. The kargaroc releases any creature it is grappling. The dropped creature takes falling damage based on the height from which it is dropped: 1d6 bludgeoning damage per 10 feet fallen, to a maximum of 17 (5d6) bludgeoning damage.

A kargaroc (also known as kargarok or kargorok) appears as an unsightly bird of prey with a red crest on its scalp and more subdued colors across the rest of its body. Those in colder climates are covered in plumage like most birds, while those in warmer climates are devoid of feathers and instead fly on leathery bat-like wings. The golden feathers of plumed kargarocs are highly valued, and are treated among rito as beautiful treasures akin to gemstones. Regardless of the kargaroc's plumage, they are notoriously aggressive hunters that seek to make meals out of everything from frogs to hylians. They are found most abundantly in the open air of mountains, hills, prairies, and coastlines.

Cargo Carriers. Despite their aggression, kargarocs are occasionally trained into domestic servants. This is most often by different varieties of moblins, particularly bulblins. Despite their seemingly frail appearance, kargarocs can carry impressively heavy loads in their talons. This has been used for transport of both goods and persons, akin in this regard to loftwings. Kargarocs have even been known to haul creatures as large as big moblins into the heart of battle.
