Pyrokinesis
Evocation cantrip
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: N/A
Duration: Instantaneous

You exert your power to cause a mote of flame to appear in mid-air. This mote emits dim light to a range of 10 feet until the start of your next turn.

You may also use this spell to ignite a creature, or an object no larger than 5 feet in any dimension that is not being worn or carried. If it is a creature, it must make a Constitution saving throw to resist the attack.

On a failed save, the target takes 1 fire damage and is ignited. An ignited target takes 1d4 - 1 (minimum 1) fire damage at the beginning of each of their turns, and may use an action to extinguish itself. Targets ignited by this spell will cease to burn after one minute, or until nature takes its course.

At higher levels. The spell's initial damage increases by 1d4 when you reach 3rd level (1d4 + 1), 6th level (2d4 + 1), 9th level (3d4 + 1), 13th level (4d4 + 1) and 15th level (5d4 + 1).

Elemental Discipline. A Way of the Four Elements monk may spend 1 ki point to cast this spell if they know the Flames of the Phoenix discipline.
