This is a deku hornet with the golden monster template applied to it. Although it appears similar to common large hornets or wasps, the golden bee is distinguished by its unique golden coloration and glistening carapace. It rarely seems to associate with others of its kind, and is usually solitary. Tales tell of a golden bee, or "good bee," who willingly defends hylians and other humanoids when they appear to be endangered. Like most golden monsters, a golden bee likely received its amplified power from a benevolent and supernatural being—such as a Great Fairy or sage. Perhaps a good bee remembers this benefactor when it decides to help others. |
