Heirs to ancient alien clans, yautja live mainly in dense hot tropical forests, but travel the world hunting for trophies and gaining honor with in their clan. Only three of these clans remain here in the world: the Dark Blade clan, the Kuk clan, and the Lost Hunters. Most races avoid the yautja because of simple fear of what they can do. If they don’t avoid them, they are careful not to show themselves as a threat unless they know they can kill the skilled hunter. However, yautjas live by an extreme code of honor. Killing innocent women, children, or an unarmed creature, unless considered deadly enough without a weapon, would result in losing all their honor within the clan. Those subject to this fate become an outcast and face possible death.

Playing a Yautja[edit]

Ancient yautja clans crashed landed in the world long ago and all their advanced tech was destroyed in the crash. Since then, they have adapted to live in the world with primitive weaponry. But their traditions and training have not been lost. Most yautja either multiclass or hybrid the ranger and rogue classes because this best embodies the training and traditions of their clans. However, some have chosen to leave their clans and seek out a future of their own and have since been considered disowned by the clans. The disowned are allowed to leave and live because they have not become dishonored by breaking their code, or they would have been killed instead.

Three sample Yautja adventurers are described below.

Scar is a yautja ranger who loves the thrill of the hunt and being lost in the wilderness. Where most would try to get back to civilization, Scar prefers forests and mountain areas as his home. Scar would hunt down anyone who dares to destroy the natural world or his way of life.

Berserker is a yautja fighter who left his clan and is now disowned by them. But this makes him no less deadly. He loves the thrill of the hunt and will try to destroy any who challenges him in combat. He is much more aggressive than other yautjas and will kill without warning.

Wolf is a yautja rogue who has trained his whole life to kill without being noticed by his targets. He enjoys the thrill of the hunt in urban areas over forest, hills, or mountains. Even though he is a rogue, wolf cares little for stealing and finds it dishonorable so he carries great inner conflicted about his life choices.
