Welcome to D&D Wiki![edit]

Welcome!

Hello Ethahcu12, and welcome to D&D Wiki! I hope you are enjoying D&D Wiki and have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing, we recommend you make sure your user preferences match your preferences.

Questions

If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that page's talk page. If you have a D&D-related question, you can ask it on DnD Discussions. Everything relating to D&D Wiki's administration can be asked here. If you need to contact another user, please use their talk page.

Formatting

Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Help:Portal also provides detailed explanation of information important specifically to this community.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I'm sure you will find us friendly. To enable the community to function, a number of policies are in effect. Most importantly, we follow and expect you to follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything. As most work has multiple authors, please do not delete content without following our removal process. When posting a comment on a talk page, please ensure you sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (Signature icon.png). This will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community. Welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --SirSprinkles (talk) 16:51, 10 August 2017 (MDT)

Maintenance Templates[edit]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from articles without addressing the issues in them. If you disagree with the templates, please discuss that on the article's talk page.--GamerAim Chatmod.png (talk) 09:22, 22 October 2017 (MDT)

Hello, I see you did so again on Sith Lord (5e Class) and Stormtrooper (5e Class) and have to warn you again to please not do it again :( --GamerAim Chatmod.png (talk) 15:31, 22 October 2017 (MDT)
Though I disagree with the wording of the deletion template, I must warn you for a third time not to remove maintenance templates. I ask of you to please improve your communication skills :) --GamerAim Chatmod.png (talk) 18:19, 23 October 2017 (MDT)
I must also ask you to not remove maintenance templates when the issues remained unaddressed.--Blobby383b (talk) 19:34, 22 December 2017 (MST)
I find myself here again asking you to not revert pages that are already completed back to an unfinished and unbalanced state with the maintenance templates removed.--Blobby383b (talk) 20:15, 23 January 2018 (MST)
I would like to say that I am slowly fixing it to my liking when I have time. I would like it if you could allow me to do so. Until then please leave that page allow until I am done fixing it.--Ethahcu12 (talk) 20:43, 23 January 2018 (MDT)
This is a wiki. You need to be prepared for other people editing the pages you create. At the bottom of every edit box, including the one I am currently typing this message into, there is a message that says "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." If you truly do not want anyone else to edit "your" page, you can move it into your userspace, where other users are not allowed to edit, except for administrators to remove content that breaks sitewide rules. If you do not know how to do this, I or another user would be willing to help you or do it for you.
You have been warned multiple times by multiple users and even blocked for edit warring and removing maintenance templates. If you continue to behave in this manner, you will be blocked again. Consider this your final warning. — Geodude671 Chatmod.png (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 21:19, 23 January 2018 (MST)
Well in that case can someone please delete my page Armor of the Primes, because I do not know how to do that. Please and thank you.--Ethahcu12 (talk) 21:24, 23 January 2018 (MDT)
Just because a page deviates from a certain path a creator intended doesn't mean the creator and up and delete the page if others had a hand in their work and especially if they don't wish it to be deleted. The Help:Legal page says "Technically, every author has shared a part in the page's current state. Trying to remove it from the wiki as being under copyright by yourself would actually be a violation of the original license the work was published under, because there are now actual people who can contest your claim.") I meticulously went through the armor looking to balance and create something usable out of it. After that, I reworked the page to an acceptable standard, and yet, you continued to revert the page to a broken state and are now asking to delete the page.--Blobby383b (talk) 21:44, 23 January 2018 (MST)
To add on to what Blobby already said, no article on this wiki can be said to have an "owner." Please see Help:Attribution and Wikipedia's ownership policy. It is long-standing policy that no one can claim sole ownership of a page. — Geodude671 Chatmod.png (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 21:50, 23 January 2018 (MST)
