Username[edit]
Hello, your username is a violation of the username policy, as it contains the name of a company. I would like to ask you to create a new account with a different name. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 11:35, 18 August 2017 (MDT)
okay i will, how do i change it?
- Geodude, I'm not seeing where our rules say this username isn't allowed. Please provide me a source? I personally don't feel that "Cocacola4you" is a bad username unless the user starts spamming pages telling you to try coca-cola.--GamerAim (talk) 12:00, 18 August 2017 (MDT)
- According to Help:Policies, we follow Wikipedia's policies except where one of our own policies supersedes them. The wiki itself doesn't seem to have a username policy of its own (or at least I don't see it on the policy page), so I am going off of Wikipedia's Username policy, which prohibits "[Usernames which] Are the name of a company, organization, group, website, or product (including non-profit organizations)." — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 12:09, 18 August 2017 (MDT)
- You are right that this username is in violation of policy. Just create a new user account, and I will block this one (but allow you to create a new one). --Green Dragon (talk) 23:18, 20 August 2017 (MDT)
