Twili[edit]

Transformed by the darkness of the realm they were banished to, a twili is not to be taken lightly. Anger one, and that darkness they've absorbed may just come crashing down on you.

Physical Description[edit]

Twili vary a bit in their physical appearance with some being rather tall and slim while others might be short and stout. The common trait shared among the Twili are their turquoise skin with black swirling marks over different sections of their body like their arms and legs, a bit over their bellies and backs. Some black seems to cover over their head like a hood too. Their eyes tend to glow a bright amber, orange, or red color. Over their bodies are glowing blue patterns that almost seem like magical circuitry, a darker turquoise when they are normal and a bright red when they are in their cursed beast form.

The Twili have been seen to take other forms with the majority being turned into cursed beasts by the Great Wizard King Zant to be used in his armies to take over the light realm, or in the example of princess Midna being turned into cursed imps. So far no other Twili have been seen turned into a similar imp form so it is not concrete that Midna is an over arching example of what other Twili might look like or be capable of when cursed in a similar fashion.

If we follow the example of Midna the imp form is short in stature, having pointy ears, and longer canines.

History[edit]

The first twili were created many years ago, when a war ravaged a far away land, the two main forces of the war consistently could not reach anything but a standstill. Then, a group of one of the sides made a discovery! They found an artifact of dark magic so powerful that it helped them turn the tides! They became cocky, and eventually lost control. the other side used the magic of seven sages to banish these dark interlopers to a realm called the Twilight Realm. The realm, once peaceful, absorbed the dark energy, and became locked in between light and dark. Twilight. The war was won, and the winning side foolishly banished all criminals to this realm, where they became what they are today. They are often fighters or barbarians.

Society[edit]

The Twili are ruled by a royal family who's line dates back to the time they were banished to the Twilight Realm The royal family are the strongest users of magic in their realm, power ranging depending on their lines. The current rulers tend to have the ability to travel between realms by means of the Twilight Mirror or Twilight Portals that have ripped their way into the Light Realm.

The Twili at first wanted to leave the realm by any means, feeling a strong form of dread of their loss. They eventually grew accustom to their new world after many years.

The Twilight realm is a dim, but not dark, place where it seems perpetually dawn or dusk. The people in the twilight realm have come to worship their guardian patron Sol, which can be seen in the glowing blue and white orbs. And example of this can be seen in Twilight Princess where the orbs are used to banish the cursed darkness that turns Link into his beast form and even restores the Twili from their cursed Mask Beast state to their normal Twili state. the Sol orb, which channels the power of their Patron is also used the power different mechanisms of their palace as seen in the Twilight Princess game.
