Treasures[edit]

The following are magic items and boons that can be found in the world of Bleach and are not readily available to players.

Common[edit]

Shinenju

Boon, Common

Your soul contains the numerous lost memories of lost souls. There is only ever one Shinenju at a given time, and they may be a reincarnation of the same being. When you would gain a Spiritual Expertise feature, you may instead gain one of the following:

Blank Control: Any Blank within your Reiatsu radius is charmed by you until they are no longer within your Reiatsu radius. As an action for 1 Reiryoku, you may control the next turn of any Blanks Charmed by you.
Blank Restoration: As an action while touching a Blank, you may exchange some of its power for some of your Shinenju memories, causing you to regain Reiryoku equal to your proficiency bonus or twice as many hit points.

Gentei Rein

Wondrous Item, Common (requires attunement)

While in the living world, Shinigami need to limit their power in order to avoid harming innocent lives or making their presence too known. As such, Soul Society developed a limiter for their power, taking the form of a badge.

While attuned to a Gentei Rein, you can not be sensed by the Reiatsu feature, but you can not spend Reiryoku in any way other than maintaining features. This effect can be ended or restarted as an action.

Gigai

Wondrous Item, Common (requires attunement)

Initially taking the form of a featureless, muscular human, Gigai allow souls, typically Shinigami, to appear inside the physical world, typically in order to hide among normal humans until they are needed. The moment a creature attunes to a Gigai, it reshapes to resemble them.

As an action, a soul may enter a Gigai, losing the soul feat until they leave their Gigai, either by succeeding a DC 20 Strength saving throw as an action or by using a Gokon Tekko, Gikon, or similar effects.

Gokon Tekko

Wondrous Item, Common (requires attunement)

Taking the form of a red glove with a flaming skull insignia across its back, Gokon Tekko are necessary for Substitute Shinigami to do their jobs.

On a hit with an unarmed strike against a humanoid, you may force the target out of their body. The target becomes a soul it they were not already. The target's body falls unconscious, and if the body the target was in was their own (i.e. not a Gigai) any damage dealt to the body is dealt to the creature instead. This has no effect on creatures that are already souls.

Gikongan

Wondrous Item, Common

Taking the form of a small yellow pill, Gikongan contain artificial souls created to serve Soul Society, and are necessary for Shinigami with lives in the living world, especially Substitute Shinigami, to do their jobs.

As an action, a creature that is not a soul may consume a Gikongan. The target becomes a soul it they were not already. Instead of falling unconscious, the Gikongan controls the body, though if the body the creature was in was their own (i.e. not a Gigai) any damage dealt to the body is still dealt to the creature instead. This has no effect on creatures that are already souls. As an action, the creature may reenter their body if it is within their reach, causing the Gikongan to be ejected as a pill. There are 13 different Gikongan personalities they can be developed as:

  • Chappy the Rabbit: Chappy has a cutesy personality, and is the most popular Gikon.
  • Yuki the Duck: Yuki is typically overconfident.
  • Papyrus the Dog: Papyrus is generally likable, but forgetful.
  • Gringo the Panda: Gringo has the personality of an old-timey gangster.
  • Ginnosuke the Cat: Ginnosuke has a sly personality.
  • Bruce the Monkey: Bruce has the personality of a coward.
  • Momone the Dolphin: Momone has a creepy personality.
  • King the Lion: King is diligent, but stupid.
  • Diana the Snake: Diana is kind in public, but rude in private.
  • Alfred the Skeleton: Alfred has a low-energy personality.
  • Claudia the Crow: Claudia is high-energy and gets distracted easily.
  • Kaneshiro the Frog: Kaneshiro experiences any emotions to the extreme.
  • Steiner the Zombie: Steiner is belligerent at all times, and is the least popular Gikon.

Denreishiki

Wondrous Item, Common

Denreishinki are mission aids developed by the Shinigami Research and Development Institute to enable limited communication between the living world and Soul Society. Taking the form of a cell phone, they allow text communication between the user and other Denreishinki, including those in other dimensions, whose number they have inputted into their own. They are also capable of accessing a centralized database that tracks information on Hollows including bounties, history, and potential abilities, as well as a map that displays the locations of any Hollows within 40 miles.

Jigokuchō

Wondrous Item, Common (requires attunement)

A Jigokuchō is a small, black butterfly that synchronizes with a creature's Reiryoku. When a creature passes through the Senkaimon while attuned to a Jigokuchō, they instantly pass to the other side of the Dangai.

Shinten

Wondrous Item, Uncommon

This bright green liquid serves as one of Soul Society's 4th Division's greatest utilities. A creature may apply a dose of Shinten onto themself as a bonus action or onto another creature within their reach as an action, causing one of the target's body parts to instantly regain its maximum hit points.

Uncommon[edit]

Kushanāda

Boon, Uncommon

You are one of the stalwart jailers of Hell, or perhaps one somehow reincarnated into you. When you would gain a Spiritual Expertise feature, you may instead gain one of the following:

Skull: As an action for 1 Reiryoku, you may increase your size category by 1 and gain a bonus to your melee damage rolls equal to half your level for 1 minute. You may have this feature and Bones active a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus at a time.
Bones: As an action for 1 Reiryoku, you may increase your size category by 1 and decrease any damage you take by half your level for 1 minute. You may have this feature and Skull active a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus at a time.
Jailer: As an action for 1 Reiryoku, you may create or destroy a Hell Chain attached to any creature within your Reiatsu radius. Hell Chains can not be destroyed in any other way and are only able to be interacted with by creatures with this feature. As an action while you have at least one free hand, you may grab the Hell Chain of any creature within your Reiatsu radius, forcing them to attempt a Strength saving throw against your highest medium class save DC. On a failure, they are restrained until the beginning of your next turn.
Hell Intangibility: Requires Jailer. You may pass through any objects originating from Hell.
Skull-Clad: Requires Skull or Bones. As an action for 1 Reiryoku, or as a bonus action for 2 Reiryoku, you gain the effects of Skull and Bones, and you may choose whether or not your size category increases. As an action, you may grant the effects of Skull and Bones to one creature within your Reiatsu radius, though their size category does not increase.

Ginjohan

Wondrous Item, Uncommon (requires attunement)

This heavy cloth limits the speed at which your Reiryoku can move for better or worse. While wearing this item, you must spend twice as much Reiryoku to use Hoho Expert features, but you can not be moved against your will.

Hojiku-Zai

Wondrous Item, Uncommon

This sludgy Shinten derivative was developed by the Shinigami Research and Development Institute to decrease the load on the 4th Division. A creature may inject a dose of Hojiku-Zai into themself as a bonus action or into another creature within their reach as an action, causing one of the target's body parts to instantly regain its maximum hit points.

Seele Schneider

Wondrous Item, Uncommon (requires attunement)

Seele Schneider are a Quincy weapon taking the form of a small sword handle. When Reiryoku is channeled through a Seele Schneider, Reishi is channeled into the shape of a blade that rotates like a chainsaw. This movement not only improves the weapon's cutting power, but oscillates Reishi it touches, causing immediate separation.

As a bonus action for 2 Reiryoku, a creature may ignite a Seele Schneider until they are no longer wielding it, causing it to become a simple melee weapon with the finesse and light properties that deals 1d6 + their level + their Dexterity modifier force damage on a hit for 1 minute with concentration.

As a reaction for 2 Reiryoku when a creature summons a melee spirit weapon (i.e. Zanpakuto, Saber Heilig Bogen, Hollow Zanpakuto), they may channel it through the Seele Schneider, causing their spirit weapon to count as a simple melee weapon, deal force damage, and gain a bonus to its damage rolls equal to your level for 1 minute with concentration.

As a reaction for 2 Reiryoku when a creature makes a ranged attack with a ranged spirit weapon, they may use the Seele Schneider as ammunition, even if the attack does not require ammunition, causing the attack to deal force damage and gain a bonus to its damage rolls equal to your level + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus. When used in this way, the Seele Schneider can be recovered like any other piece of ammunition, and you may round up when determining how many Seele Schneiders you recover.

Additionally, a Quincy may gain either of the following as a Quincy Technique:

Anhäufer
As a reaction when you are targeted by an attack or saving throw that cost the source Reiryoku while wielding a Seele Schneider, you absorb some of their spent energy, regaining Reiryoku equal to half the effect's cost.
Seele Ginto
When a feature would cost ginto, you may replace a ginto with a Seele Schneider for 1 Reiryoku. Seele Schneider used in this way count as having been fired as ammunition for the same of being recovered.

Rare[edit]

Hollow Bait

Wondrous Item, Rare

This small capsule contains traces of Shinigami Reishi, causing its scent to be tantalizing to Hollows. As an action, a creature may break this capsule, causing Hollows with a total CR equal to the combined level of any creatures with at least one level in a Medium class within 40 miles of the bait to appear anywhere within 40 miles of the bait.

Tenshintai

Wondrous Item, Rare (requires attunement)

A Tenshintai is a large wooden doll that can act as something like a Gigai for a Zanpakuto spirit. As an action, a creature wielding their own Zanpakuto or Hollow Zanpakuto may stab it into the Tenshintai, transforming it into their Zanpakuto spirit for up to 3 days, though the spirit may end this feature early. All Zanpakuto spirits are identical to their wielder, but act autonomously and cause the creature to be unable to summon their Zanpakuto, though the spirit can.

Leiden Hant

Wondrous Item, Rare (requires attunement)

Developed by Quincy craftsmen long ago, Leiden Hant, sometimes called Sanrei gloves, repels Reishi from the wearer, causing the amount of Reishi they draw in to increase. A creature wearing a Leiden Hant gains a bonus to their damage rolls with spirit weapons equal to their proficiency bonus and must spend 1 fewer Reiryoku on Quincy Techniques.

Very Rare[edit]

Caja de Negación

Wondrous Item, Very Rare (requires attunement)

Developed from highly-compressed gillian Hollows, Caja de Negación works similarly to a Hollow's Puerta del Cielo, but is primarily intended for punishing high-ranking Hollows.

As an action while grappling a creature, a creature may insert the Caja de Negación into the target. If the creature does not move more than 5 feet or lose concentration and the target does not escape the creature's grapple, they are transported to a Valley of Souls at the beginning of the creature's next turn.

Quincy Bangle

Wondrous Item, Very Rare (requires attunement)

An extremely rare item, Quincy bangles were developed shortly before the total destruction of Quincy as a group, when they could no longer afford to discard the weak.

A creature wearing a Quincy bangle can regain Reiryoku while under the aftereffects of Letzt Stil, and their maximum Reiryoku increases by their proficiency bonus. If a creature under these effects drops to 0 Reiryoku, the bangle overloads, destroying itself.

Reishūkaku

Wondrous Item, Very Rare (requires attunement)

Taking the form of a crystal ball with the image of a phoenix painted along its surface the size of a basketball, Reishūkaku are capable of generating a protective barrier around the user.

As an action while holding and attuned to a Reishūkaku, a creature may focus their Reishi, generating a barrier with a radius equal to their Reiatsu radius. This barrier has 5 hit points for every Reiryoku spent and lasts until the beginning of your next turn.

Anti-Hierro Gear

Wondrous Item, Very Rare (requires attunement)

These bulky, heavy metal gloves and boots modulate many times a second, turning any defenses on their user.

A creature wearing anti-Hierro gear, deals additional damage equal to their level with their unarmed strikes to any creature resistant to the damage your unarmed strikes deal, who is reducing damage you deal (such as by Hierro), or who has a damage threshold higher than your unarmed strikes would deal without this effect. As a reaction when a creature wearing anti-Hierro gear takes damage, they may decrease the damage by their level.

Shin'eiyaku

Wondrous Item, Very Rare

Developed to combat Quincy medallions, Shin'eiyaku are black pills that temporarily Hollowfy a Shinigami's Zanpakuto spirit, causing it to become highly toxic to the Quincy that absorbed it. As an action, a creature may consume a Shin'eiyaku pill, immediately ending the effects of a Quincy medallion that stole their Zanpakuto, granting them immunity to Quincy medallions, and granting them a bonus to their Zanpakuto attack and damage rolls and the DC of any saving throws their Shikai or Bankai cause equal to half their Constitution modifier for 1 minute. This bonus does not stack with Visor.

If a creature's Zanpakuto spirit is summoned, such as by a Tenshintai, they do not gain this bonus and their Zanpakuto spirit gains the effects of Visor instead.

Legendary[edit]

Incomplete Hōgyoku

Wondrous Item, Legendary (requires attunement)

The Hōgyoku is a clear, round crystal small enough to hold comfortably in one hand designed by some of the greatest minds in Soul Society, though only two were ever created. While their original power was to fulfill the deepest desire of their wielder, they have since attached to the desire of a single person: to blur the line between Plus and Hollow.

As an action, a creature wielding a Hōgyoku may cause a creature within their Reiatsu radius to be transformed by the Hōgyoku, allowing them to multiclass into one medium class of the target's choice regardless of its multiclassing requirements. A Hollow under these effects may instead change which Hollowfication they have.

Quincy Medallion

Wondrous Item, Legendary (requires attunement)

Quincy medallions were designed solely to combat high-ranking Shinigami, and are able to snap open in order to steal one of their greatest powers.

As a reaction when a creature within the Reiatsu radius of a creature wielding a Quincy medallion summons their Zanpakuto, Shikai, or Bankai, the wielder may absorb their Zanpakuto. The target's Zanpakuto disappears and they can not summon it, and the wielder gains their Zanpakuto, Shikai, and Bankai features, and they can not use Vollstandig. If the target's level or CR is higher than the wielder's, the wielder has disadvantage on attack rolls with the Zanpakuto, and targets have advantage on any saving throws it causes.

Oin

Wondrous Item, Legendary (requires attunement)

This small golden box has been the greatest treasure among the nobility of Soul Society for its immense power. Unbeknownst to the modern decedents of the five noble families, it contains a small fragment of the Soul King's organs, and thus his power.

As an action, a creature under the effects of a 20th level medium class feature may strike the Oin, tapping into the box's power, granting them one of the following:

  • They regain Reiryoku equal to their proficiency bonus.
  • They regain hit points equal to their level + their Constitution modifier. This can restore hit points to body parts with 0 hit points.
  • They and the Oin teleport to one location they can visualize. If they would arrive in a place already occupied by an object or a creature, they are shunted to the closest unoccupied space.

As an action, a creature under the effects of a 10th level medium class feature may strike the Oin, being overwhelmed by its power, causing them to become bloodlusted and 1 size larger and regain Reiryoku equal to their proficiency bonus and hit points equal to their level + their Constitution modifier at the beginning of each of their turns. This counts as a curse and is lost when they unattune to the Oin.

Shisuikyō

Wondrous Item, Legendary (requires attunement)

The Shisuikyō is a large circular mirror empowered by the Soul King's blood and one of the great treasures of the nobility of Soul Society. As an action for 5 Reiryoku, a creature holding the Shisuikyō may cause any creatures of their choice within their Reiatsu radius to lose 5 Reiryoku.

Sōkyoku

Weapon ((Halberd), Legendary (requires attunement)

Forged by Nimaiya's own hand, the Sōkyoku wields the power of a million Zanpakuto. This weapon requires a Strength score of 40 to wield and has 25 additional feet of reach. On a hit, the Sōkyoku deals 350 fire damage. On a miss, the target still takes half as much damage unless they have Endurance.

Artifacts[edit]

Hōgyoku

Wondrous Item, Artifact (requires attunement)

By combining both Hōgyoku as an action, one can return the crystal to its original form of granting one's deepest desires so long as they have the will to carry them out. A full Hōgyoku can still be used as an incomplete Hōgyoku, or a creature attuned to it may implant it into their body.

While the Hōgyoku is implanted in your body, you gain the following:

  • Their Reiatsu is released at the beginning of each of their turns in initiative without spending Reiryoku.
  • As an action, or at the end of each of their turns for 5 Reiryoku, the creature may regain hit points equal to their level + their Constitution modifier. This can restore hit points to body parts with 0 hit points.
  • At the end of each of their turns that they start with at least 1 hit point, they regain Reiryoku equal to their proficiency bonus.
  • At the end of each minute spent in initiative, their body undergoes a transformation, granting them one 10th, 20th, 30th, or 40 level medium class feature of their choice. This can grant the same feature multiple times, such as granting two Bankai or Resurrección features, and can be chosen from classes they do not have.

Soul King

Boon, Artifact

You have absorbed the power of a transcendent being; the Soul King, whose power was strong enough to separate life from death. When you would gain a Spiritual Expertise feature, you may instead gain one of the following:

Soul King's Power: Your soul contains power that transcends modern existence. At the end of each of your turns you start with at least 1 hit point, you regain Reiryoku equal to your proficiency bonus or hit points equal to your level + your Constitution modifier. This can restore hit points to body parts with 0 hit points. Additionally, you become immune to necrotic damage, and your Reiatsu radius doubles.
Barrier Generation: As an action for 30 Reiryoku, you may create a black dome barrier that has hit points equal to four times your level + your Wisdom modifier and a damage threshold equal to your level + your Wisdom modifier. This barrier can be any size in any location you can visualize.
Soul Tide: As an action, you may release a wave of tiny, black, baby-like, single-eyeballed creatures, allowing your Reiatsu feature to target any creature with a lower proficiency bonus that your own that has no Quincy features and quadrupling the damage it deals.
Total Reishi Control: As a bonus action, you control every particle of Reishi among your surroundings. When you use this feature, you may also cause any creatures of your choice within your Reiatsu radius to be unable to benefit from any Quincy Technique you use.
