BLUF
The Deepwood Druids are a new entity on Dominaria which came out of the Malkeiri Houses’ growing insularity. When the Lords of Malkeir decided that the war against the other claimants to the Imperial remnants was no longer worth fighting, they withdrew and began scheming. Soon after the Treaty of Three Swords, the forests nestled among the Verge Mountains began to expand south, sometimes advancing half a mile in a day as they curled around the seat of Malkeiri power. And the Druids of the Deepwood propelled them. Far from the animal totem Druids of Ramosia, the gypsie Druids of the Green Sea, Wave Striders in the Narrow Sea, or the rock shamen of Nurimania, the Deepwod Druids crave power. Their alliance with the Malkeiri stretches back to the Zantar War in the Third Age, and the last few decades have been fertile soil for their ambitions. Now druids sit in northern courts, and noble children learn the Ways of the Land alongside the Chants of St Cuthbert.
