Wondrous item (notebook), artifact (Requires attunement)

The death note is a black notebook with the words "death note" written on the front.
Inked Fate. Any person whose name is written down in this note book will die. You must know a person's full name and face for the death note to take effect. If a cause of death is written within 40 seconds, it will happen. If a cause of death is not written down, the victim will die of a heart attack.

Shinigami. After 5 days, the shinigami (a Japanese god of death) who dropped the book in the human world will start following you, and will show you how to use the death note. The shinigami is immune to all damage, however, it feels no desire to help you in combat.

Relinquishing Ownership. If you relinquish ownership of the death note to the shinigami, they take the note back to the shinigami realm, and you lose all memory of the death note.
Destroying the The Death Note. Despite all of the death notes magical powers, it can be burned just like any other paper.
