Wondrous item, Artifact

A small music box of baroque design. The edges of the box have gold leafed clawed feet that keep the box from touching the ground. The base of the box is painted a pristine white color, and it is occasionally dotted with golden paisleys or various gems. When opened, a small carousel arises from within the box and begins to spin around in time with the music it plays. The small carousel within it is equally as elegant as the box itself despite its small size. The box itself is also slightly dented in a few places, but not in a way that would seriously degrade its value.

Relive Event

When a creature opens the Carousel, the creature, and every creature within 60 feet that are not hostile to it, are all incapacitated and restrained indefinitely. Any creature within 60 feet of the initial creature that are hostile to the initial creature are paralyzed indefinitely. All creatures incapacitated and restrained then suffer a vision of the initial creatures most character defining event (most often considered ones "backstory") from an omniscient perspective. All creatures incapacitated and restrained remain incapacitated and restrained until the vision ends, and the vision ends when the entirity of the character defining event has been witnessed. Creatures paralyzed by the Carousel cease being paralyzed ten (10) minutes after the other creatures cease being incapacitated and restrained. The vision is accompanied by a somewhat ominous and somber song that makes use of dulcimers, basses, violins, drums, trumpets, pianos, and, rarely, a calliope. The calliope is only used in the most intriguing of visions, and often only at the very end of them. Every vision begins with only the dulcimers before the rest of the instruments fade in.

After the end of the vision, all affected creatures, except for the ones paralyzed, regain an amount of hit points equal to their level and are cleared of one condition of their choice, if they are affected by any at all. The hit points gained through this can exceed one's hit point maximum.

Remains

This item is incapable of being destroyed in any way, shape, or form. Any effects that would heal or fix the item, such as Mending, cannot do so either. A Wish spell will dent the Carousel, but fail to do any further damage. Each time a creature attempts to damage the Carousel, box will quickly, and briefly, spit out a sped up rendition of the song that serenades the visions the box causes, reduce the attacking creature to zero (0) hit points, and then close again. Each time a creature attempts to heal or fix the box, the box will slowly and partially open, chirp a pleasant song that consists only of its calliope, heal the creature for 1d4 temporary hit points, and close again.
