Talk:Volatile Vortex (5e Spell)

This spell might be unbalanced at 1st level, as currently this spell can do the same damage as a flaming sphere with a greatsword. The idea I like the most is to make it so you can only use this spell on a weapon you are proficient in.
However, you could also make controlling the weapon an action, reduce the range/make the spell end if the weapon goes outside of the spell's range, or have the weapon move only 10 feet per bonus action. Thoughts? --Woahluigi (talk) 14:38, 20 September 2024 (MDT)
