Talk:Stalhorse (5e Creature)

Why is this undead horse a miscellaneous creature, slower than the horse it is made from, and not evil? The warhorse skeleton is an undead horse that is both not a miscellaneous creature (classified with skeletons in the monsters section of the MM), as fast as an ordinary warhorse and lawful evil (same alignment as other skeletons). It's based on a specific creature in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In that game, a stalhorse is not clearly not hostile and has behavior exactly like a living horse. I assumed that this nonhostile nature because "stal-ification" might not affect the alignment of creatures of low intelligence. (In retrospect, I should have treated stalhound the same in this regard and listed its alignment as "unaligned.") The stalhorse is slower than most rideable horses in that game, but I assumed since it is primarily ridden it would still be faster than a draft horse.
If it really bothers you, though, feel free to change the alignment and the speed. - Guy (talk) 03:04, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
