Talk:Sadistic (5e Feat)

The Overheal part is not getting removed yes the rest is good but the overheal is too useful to be removed—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Betterthanallofyou (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- Removing the overheal feature is not about usefulness, it is about the overall power level of the feat and the various other problems with said feature. As far as balance goes, this feat already gives PC's a large amount of sustainability albeit with a few small drawbacks and limited durations. Adding an overheal feature on top of what the feat already provides is too much, plus the feature can have no effect if you don't have healers in your party or it can be overtly broken with spells like heal and mass heal granting their full effects/absurd amounts of temporary hit points(in the case of heal, it is much better than a 6th level false life and mass heal is self explanatory). Having such a large variance on a feature is not a sign of a well designed feature and on top of that, the feature doesn't have a defined duration like every other spell/feature/ect. in 5e. As such, your edit to add the feature back to the feat was reverted.--Blobby383b (talk) 20:06, 12 September 2018 (MDT)
- I'd echo everything Blobby is saying here. The first two features alone are very powerful—borderline too powerful—and the second two are comparatively insignificant drawbacks. Anything more is definitiely excessive. - Guy 06:48, 13 September 2018 (MDT)
