Featured Article Nominee[edit]

This creature, Psittacosaurus, I think would make a great featured article. Its completely formatted correctly and has a satisfying description, similar to what the Monster Manual gives dinosaurs plus average height and weight. This Creature is fit for a place in a Dinosaur section of a Wizards of the Coast bestiary. All of its abilities and actions are fully worded correctly and its CR is calculated correctly in according to its overall power in its statistics. There are links to System Ref. Guides in all places needed. Its features are accurate compared to the dinosaur it represents. And again, this creature would make a good featured article. --MythicActions2000 (talk) 07:45, 22 October 2021 (MDT)

Support: I have seen many Wizards of the Coast bestiaries and I too think this seems like something that would do nicely in one. It' brilliantly constructed and is in good balance, representing a psittacosaurus quite nicely.

Best wishes!

Oppose. Simply because this fits into a cookie-cutter idea of a well-formatted page is not enough to make an FA. The relentless feature is strange since it doesn't work at all like one would see relentless endurance in a half-orc, and demands a specific damage maximum. I'm not sure if that fits in with streamlined monster design quite. In terms of lore, it is lacking a bit in comparison to the other 5e creature FAs. Uniqueness I think should be more important, but that doesn't seem to be a precedent, surprisingly. Also, it could benefit from an image.--Yanied (talk) 16:08, 24 October 2021 (MDT)

Oppose. I concur with Yanied. Like Yanied said, just because it is well-formatted doesn't make it featured-article worthy. It is a good representation of a psittacosaurus, but it feels too bare-bone. I understand that this is meant to be a representation of a real-life creature, which is fine. However, that doesn't make it top-notch homebrew, which is what the featured articles are. Also, Mythic nominated their own article to become a featured article. That immediately takes away a lot of credibility for the nomination. --MarshDASavage (talk) 20:48, 24 October 2021 (MDT)

Oppose. My thoughts mirror what has already been said by Yanied and MarshDASavage. Besides those points, this creature also does not meet several of the featured article criterias. Namely, point 1, with this page just having been made and with it having no verbose lore and point, and point 3 were unaddressed before this page was nominated.--Blobby383b (talk) 17:55, 31 October 2021 (MDT)

Support: I like the taco's representation here, and the Psittacosaurus is definitely something I think should be featured. Only addition I would add is something about the quills maybe having more function. Also, I got the image, it was the one i felt best represented the taco-- LeToastyBoi (talk) 11:34, 16 November 2021 (MDT)
