Antler Issues[edit]
Should the female laprunis have some other ability to offset their lack of antlers? Maybe a racial bonus on Spot? Or how about they give any ally flanking with a female gets a total of +3 flanking bonus instead of the normal +2, reflecting tactics learned to better aid family and friends in combat?
Also, on the antler duel ability, I'd word it similar to the Trip ability of the standard wolf; something like: Against an opponent with recognizable horns, a laprunis that hits with a gore attack can attempt to trip the opponent as a free action without making a touch attack or provoking an attack of opportunity. I'd leave off part about the opponent not being able to trip the lapruni back on a failed attempt, which looks like you've already excluded, but maybe give the guy a +2 racial bonus for this Trip method only to reflect the added leverage of having the weapon actually attached to your body. --Oneiros 08:54, 29 June 2006 (MDT)
