- Support. Static bonuses mixed with conditional ones, me likey. Conditional bonuses are really good too I think. ~ BigShotFancyMan 08:03, 3 July 2019 (MDT)
- Oppose. I don't feel like this weapon could just be dropped into any campaign as one of the conditional bonuses doesn't really do that much while also only affecting specific creatures. Besides that the weapon just feels like the banishment spell on a stick, and at least for me doesn't seem that unique or interesting.--Blobby383b (talk) 20:31, 7 September 2019 (MDT)
- I find its conditional effect similar, albeit way more powerful, to the 5e SRD:Holy Avenger which is even more niche considering the class pre-req. Banishment on a stick to me implies multiple uses where this does require recharge at dawn, preventing any abuse in my opinion. Food for thought! ~BigShotFancyMan talk 09:53, 11 September 2019 (MDT)
- I see the conditional effect on this weapon as much weaker than that of the holy avenger's, but the holy avenger itself is harder to use in campaigns so each item has their pros and cons. I do generally like conditional effects on items as well as they provide an opportunity to do something unique, but I don't really see how this weapon's conditional effect is that exciting. Also, by banishment on a stick, I meant the main effect of the weapon was its +3 bonus to att/dmg rolls, and although the banishment spell is strong, you can only use it once(which you are right, it does prevent abuse), but as such, it feels like the effect was added on to the weapon. Either way, it is interesting to hear your thoughts on the weapon even if we don't necessarily agree, I can still see where it is your coming from. Cheers.--Blobby383b (talk) 11:43, 11 September 2019 (MDT)
- I'm curious how you find this weapon's "instant kill" less strong than the extra damage from Holy Avenger? I find your thoughts most interesting as well :-) ~BigShotFancyMan talk 13:36, 11 September 2019 (MDT)
- Is it an "instant kill"? I believe that the effect only shatters a creature's body when you reduce the creature to 0 hp instead of leaving a dead body to prevent it from being reincarnated. I may be wrong through, why do you think it is an instant kill?--Blobby383b (talk) 14:09, 11 September 2019 (MDT)
- I thought that because I read too fast. It is as you said. I'm still supportive though :p thanks for helping me understand this correctly. ~BigShotFancyMan talk 14:38, 11 September 2019 (MDT)
- Np, the page is still good, but it seems to just not be my cup of tea. Either way, I am glad that we got the chance to discuss this even if we didn't agree in the end. To each their own.--Blobby383b (talk) 14:55, 11 September 2019 (MDT)
- It's a little different, but still banish on a stick? Once per day so it can't be done a lot. Red Leg Leo (talk) 09:13, 4 February 2020 (MST)
- Comment. With split views, I can't pass this without more support or an unbias opinion. I'll wait a month (from the expiration) and if no additional support is gained, I will fail the QAN. ~BigShotFancyMan talk 08:26, 5 December 2019 (MST)
Oppose. It's a very narrow margin for me. I have no problem tossing this in a campaign despite the specific creature types (virtually the same logic as dragon slayer to me). What makes me oppose is just that I feel some fleshing out is in order here to help make it feel less generic than like how Blobby puts it as "banishment on a stick." Like, why that name? I feel it has something to do with... aliens? I will definitely consider changing my vote after that concern is addressed.--Yanied (talk) 13:51, 12 December 2019 (MST)
- So to me, "on a stick" means multiple uses. This is once per day. Still feel the same? Red Leg Leo (talk) 09:13, 4 February 2020 (MST)
- It's the simple banishment effect that probably makes it lackluster. But with the new edit, I think I can say I Support this as a QA now.--Yanied (talk) 10:24, 4 February 2020 (MST)
- Comment. Am I allowed to comment? If not, delete this post. I really like this item. My games tend to have a lot of elementals in them, and this is a great weapon to help even the odds for my players. Flamestarter (talk) 17:39, 12 December 2019 (MST)Flamestarter
- Sure, anyone can vote.--Yanied (talk) 20:50, 12 December 2019 (MST)
- Comment. After destroying a creature completely it could change between d6 creature types, which would make this much less specialized for outsiders. --Green Dragon (talk) 00:14, 13 December 2019 (MST)
- Ooh, that's a good idea. Fits into the idea of an infinity more (affecting everyone)--Yanied (talk) 07:22, 13 December 2019 (MST)
- I applied something to this effect. Red Leg Leo (talk) 09:13, 4 February 2020 (MST)
- Comment. I am ready to pass this QAN. There is a "Support", and another in the comments, then there's Flamestarter's comment for support while only one oppose. GD's suggestions were implemented in some fashion also. If no other opinions are weighed in, I'll pass this the next time I visit it. Red Leg Leo (talk) 07:12, 26 February 2020 (MST)
