Talk:Hidden Blade, Variant (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
A d6 seems excessive given its dagger-like length. PunnyDM12 (talk) 20:49, 21 November 2018 (MST)
I felt that a d6 was the right place to put this weapon, as in the games it deals instantly fatal damage. Also, I wanted to make the hidden blade a better option than a standard dagger, as this weapon is only accessible through the Brotherhood Assassin subclass. - I know that you intended for this weapon to only be used with the subclass, but I think it makes more sense to have the price for the weapon so that someone can put it into their home game without having to include the whole Brotherhood. PJammaz (talk) 21:43, 1 March 2020 (MST)
It was an intentional design choice to make it a shortsword with added properties, as this weapon ties to a subclass that I have created: the Brotherhood Assassin subclass.

- Yeah, sure. But anyone can use the weapon. So it's unbalanced. There's undoubtedly another better made hidden blade type weapon, which considers general balance. Why not use one of those? --SwankyPants (talk) 00:31, 25 April 2021 (MDT)
