Damage Type[edit]

Really, either thunder or fire damage will work for this spell as fireworks can cause both bad burns and if large and close enough ruptured ears. Personally, I would lean more to thunder damage, but it doesn't really matter what is chosen.--Blobby383b (talk) 08:51, 1 October 2021 (MDT)

Regarding recent changes[edit]

Spirit & Intent in shambles. These kind of arbitrary changes undermine not only the creator's intent, but also undermine the spirit of players who are brave/dumb enough to actually try using a raw page of content from this wiki.

Something can be based on X-Men without "needing" a copyright disclaimer. Marvel doesn't own the idea of a supernatural firework. That said, the name "firecracker" is very misleading at face value; firecrackers are loud as all hell, not merely visual effects. It might help to rename the spell if feasible, or add a picture from the source material might help better illustrate the idea that this spell isn't meant to recreate loud fireworks. - Guy 07:29, 16 November 2022 (MST)

Eh, nevermind me. - Guy 07:12, 17 November 2022 (MST)
FWIW, I hadn't seen the original page creation summary when I edited it, so I assumed the author just wanted a debuff rider to represent getting explosives thrown in your face and changed it to something more unique and appropriate. With the context, I think it makes as much sense to go with either version, even if I personally think deafening is a bit more fluff-y. -Bigboymemezone (talk) 19:49, 18 November 2022 (MST)

Correction[edit]

Maybe it needs an "s" on the end? I didn't want it to sound like it made more than one set. I made this quite a while ago, so my memory of its inspiration seems to be muddy. It may have also been based on the exploding device Batman throws at Bane on the catwalk in Dark Knight Rises that was ineffective. I do remember wanting it to be startling/distracting, rather than deafening. It's loud, but not deafening loud---like a string of firecrackers, rather than an M-80. I do have a different spell, called cherry bomb, that might be more like what you were thinking. Sorry for the confusion. --Jikennosamurai (talk) 23:45, 16 November 2022 (MST)
