Talk:Divine Strike (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
As of right now this is another very bland -more-damage-on-a-weapon-attack- cantrip. And with my changes it is very balanced through level 5 and arguably up to level 11. However after that point it falls off considerably compared to first part cantrips of a similar nature. It very much so needs something to make it unique and allowed it to scale into late game --Meep (talk) 00:55, 15 January 2018 (MST)
I understand your concern (fyi i'm the same guy that created shadowstrike) the point of these cantrips is to quite litterally be bland. I intend on making more detailed and interesting flavor text in the future for it. However, this spell is litterally just meant to be a damage cantrip and nothing else. A "firebolt" for melee spellcasters. I'm honestly considering making it a d8 due to the fact that it then balances out damage wise with other strait damage cantrips (Like firebolt) due to the fact that it does slightly less depending on your weapon and damage mod. Which is how this game (from my 5 years of playing) seems to have always worked. P.S if you have discord or something I would love to talk there (is much better at discussing things over a call rather than text).—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Biosnatcher147 (talk • contribs) . Since they are essentially the same cantrip and we are the same two people lets move all conversations to talk:Shadowstrike (5e Spell) --Meep (talk) 14:18, 15 January 2018 (MST)
