So this spell seems great, and I am picking it for my current campaign.

The one issue I see with a slightly incomplete time mechanic. If this spell is a ritual casting of 10 minutes, then logically you would be out of combat. But if you are out of combat, then there is no "until next turn" to proc, unless it means sit around for 10 minutes and then you have 6 seconds to use it, so you had better hurry.

My solution for this was to have it dissipate after a full turn of use. This effectively gets rid of options like using it on reaction or during other non-turn attacks, but it at least gives a encompasses all time constraints.

Alternatively the description could spell out that the ritual sets up a spell to proc on its next hit within a definite amount of time (or indefinitely) and then the spell lasts for 1 round. The only slight weirdness this creates is, having a spell which is cast, but then does not begin effect until it procs. But I think this is common anyways with other enchantments or magical limited use weapons of the like.

Thanks for the great content ^_^

I agree with you that this spell had some issues before, but I hope that the updates I made are to your liking. --Woahluigi (talk) 10:36, 17 September 2024 (MDT)
