Damage

I get that this spell covers a wide area, that psychic is a good damage type, and that clerics don't have many damaging AoE spells, but even so 2d6 damage seems weirdly low for a 3rd level spell. According to the DMG, the recommended damage for this kind of spell is 6d6. Bards even get a similar and arguably better spell, thunderwave, as a 1st level spell—and if using it in a 3rd level slot it would yield a similar effect to chorus of destruction but deal more than double the damage with a similarly good damage type. - Guy (talk) 09:02, 20 November 2017 (MST)

I don't know if the OP is still active, but I can think of a way to make this spell a bit better for its level. Keep the intended radius, but make the damage 1d6 or 2d4 Psychic and have the duration be Concentration, up to 1 Minute. This way, its damage value is only slightly improved and flows better for a Chorus, which - for gameplay purposes - is meant to be an extended casting of sorts.
