Talk:Charners (3.5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Questions/Objections[edit]
Two things: one, there should definitely only be one favored class. Two or more is strictly against standards. Two, this race should probably be LA +1 because it is slightly overpowered: the 60ft movement is extremely high for a player race, and there are a slew of bonuses (esp. to 6 skills (and esp. diplomacy and appraise! That high of a diplo check can be disastrous; even with the -4 cha, it works out to be +6... think about a paladin with that... scary!), fortitude saves, and dawn runner ability) with very few drawbacks to balance the race. The benefits are certainly stronger than those of other base races. --EldritchNumen 11:31, 24 December 2006 (MST)
- I got rid of the Rogue favored class, and made this LA +1. Thanks for bringing these up. They have been changed. --Green Dragon 23:20, 3 January 2007 (MST)
- Another thing, since the race still seems somewhat overpowered, str reduced to -2, to counteract the still seemingly large bonuses
Needs to be added to correct LA page[edit]
This needs to be added to the correct LA page, when the LA is decided (see above). If it turns out to be LA0 please put it on LA 0 Races, for LA1 please put it on LA 1 Races, etc. Also, would you like to do this, or have me do it? Because an IP address made this, if you do not respond soon I will do this. --Green Dragon 11:54, 24 December 2006 (MST)
- Done, under LA 1 Races. --Green Dragon 23:25, 3 January 2007 (MST)
- Could someone please move it to LA 0 again? I've given Charners a few problems to deal with that suit the characters far better. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.236.191.22 (talk • contribs) 01:17, 5 January 2007 (MST). Please sign your posts.
