Stoneforge Mystic[edit]

My ancestors reshaped the world to their vision. I have a few ideas of my own.
—Tars Olan, stoneforge mystic

Prerequisite: Kor, Stoneforge Acolyte

An intimate understanding and relationship with the land has been an integral part of Kor culture since time immemorial, and nomadic Kor parties on their eternal pilgrimages often find themselves in need of an ever changing array of tools and equipment to match the varied terrains and hazards they must overcome on their travels. To combat the need to stay in one place, collect materials and craft items for too long, the Kor have created the art of the Stoneforge - the use of white mana and the primal force of the land to shape stone into a desired form on a whim. This form of magic, sometimes dubbed Lithomancy, has also found use in altering the landscape itself to make travelling easier, or turning it against unsuspecting foes.

Stoneforge Mystic Path Features[edit]

Nahiri's Protection (11th Level): As long as you wield a weapon conjured by your Stoneforge Crafting or Stoneforge Creation powers, you gain a +1 bonus to your Reflex and Will.
Stoneforge Action (11th Level): When you spend an action point to take an extra action, you regain the daily use of your Stoneforge Creation power.
Stoneforge Masterwork (16th Level): Any weapon you craft, whether through your Stoneforge Crafting or Stoneforge Creation powers or using the Crafting skill, gains one of the following properties: Brutal 1, Defensive, Disarming, Dismounting, High Crit, Off-Hand, Reach, Small, Tripping, or Versatile. The property must be appropriate for the type of the weapon created, and you cannot give a weapon a property it already has. You choose the property upon creating the weapon and it cannot be changed.

Lithomancer's Strike Stoneforge Mystic Attack 11
The ground quivers beneath your enemy's feet, leaving it unprepared for your attack.
Encounter Star.gif Primal, Weapon
Standard Action Melee weapon
Target: One creature
Attack: Wisdom Vs. Reflex
Hit: 2[W] + Wisdom damage, and the target is slowed and grants you combat advantage until the end of your next turn.

Lithomancy Stoneforge Mystic Utility 12
You bid the earth to shape itself so as to ease your and your allies' passage or to hamper that of your enemies.
Daily Star.gif Primal, Conjuration
Minor Action Close burst 5 or Area wall 10 within 10 squares
Target: You and each ally in burst
Effect: Choose one:
  • The target may stand up from prone as a free action. Until the end of the encounter, the targets gain a +2 power bonus to their speed and ignore all penalties from rock or earth based difficult terrain.
  • You conjure a wall of packed earth and stone that lasts until the end of the encounter. The wall can be up to 2 squares high. The wall blocks line of sight and prevents enemy movement, but parts and gives way should you or an ally attempt to move through it, after which it closes back again. Each square of the wall has 80 hit points.

Rage of Talib Stoneforge Mystic Attack 20
You rouse the land from its deep slumber, summoning it to fight alongside you.
Daily Star.gif Primal, Summoning
Minor Action Ranged 10
Effect: You summon a Large needlespire elemental in an unnoccupied space within range. The needlespire elemental has speed 6 and a +2 bonus to AC. You can give the needlespire elemental the following special command.

Standard Action: Close blast 5; targets each creature in the burst; Wisdom vs. Reflex; 3d8 + Wisdom damage, and the target is knocked prone.
Intrinsic Nature: If you haven't given the needlespire elemental any commands by the end of your turn, it attacks the nearest prone enemy within its reach. If no prone enemies are within its reach, it attacks the nearest enemy within its reach. If no enemies are within its reach, it moves up to its speed and attacks the nearest enemy. Otherwise it moves its speed toward the nearest enemy. In addition, you take 10 damage and you fall prone.
Symbiosis: While the summoned needlespire elemental is present, when you hit a target with a melee attack using a Stoneforge Weapon, you deal an additional 10 damage and knock the target prone.
