From D&D Wiki
2nd-level Abjuration | |
Casting time: | 1 Action |
---|---|
Range: | Self (30-Foot Radius Sphere) |
Components: | S, M (a piece of copper wire and a magnet) |
Duration: | Concentration, up to 10 Minutes |
A staticky sound permeates a 30-foot radius sphere centered on yourself. While within the area, a creature’s voice becomes hard to distinguish, meaning all creatures within range of your choice have disadvantage on Charisma checks as well as Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing. As well, creatures within the range are unable to use or receive telepathic messages or messages sent by magical means, such as the Sending spell, only receiving the same sound of static.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th-Level or higher, the sphere’s radius increases to 60 feet, when cast using a spell of 7th-Level or higher, the sphere’s radius increases to 120 feet, and when cast using a spell slot of 9th-Level, the sphere’s radius increases to 1 mile.
