Staff of the Forgotten Star (5e Equipment)

Staff, artifact (requires attunement) This staff is fashioned from a strange silver material that is always cool to the touch, a sphere made of moonstone crowns one end of the staff. Along the entire length of the staff are engravings of a star chart that shows an unfamiliar night sky. While in dim light or darkness, a faint glow is visible from the staff. You can wield this staff as a +3 quarterstaff which deals an additional 1d8 radiant damage on a hit. While you hold it, you can't be blinded, deafened, petrified or stunned. Blessed by the Stars. While attuned to this staff you have advantage on melee and spell attack rolls, and creatures have disadvantage on saving throws against your spells while you are in direct starlight. Ethereal Starlight. While you are holding the staff, you can perform a 1-hour ritual to cast the etherealness spell without expending a spell slot. Random Properties. The Staff of the Forgotten Star has the following random properties: 2 minor beneficial properties 1 major beneficial property 2 minor detrimental properties 1 major detrimental property Destroying the Staff of the Forgotten Star. The staff cannot be destroyed before the radiance of the forgotten star that created it is completely extinguished, which extinguishes in 10d100 years, after which the staff automatically turns to dust.
