Weapon (spear), legendary (requires attunement)

Rumored to have been crafted to be able to kill angels, the spear of destiny is a behemoth to behold. Too big to truly be called a spear, it is at least 10 feet in length, though it is capable of changing size to match its wielder, weighing in at 60 pounds. It is a deep crimson red in color, with the handle looking to be two different spears combined, culminating in two bladed points.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic spear. On hit, this weapon deals 4d6 piercing damage while being wielded in one hand, and 4d8 piercing damage while being wielded in two hands. Additionally, this weapon changes its size to match any attuned creature that wields it. This does not increase the weapon's damage from being oversized, but this weapon gains an additional 5 feet of reach for every size category above Tiny its wielder is.

Unwieldy. You must have a Strength score of 18 or higher to wield the spear of destiny. Additionally, if an object is less than 11 feet above the user or closer than 5 feet, you make attack rolls with this weapon with disadvantage.

Soul-Piercer. When you make an attack with this weapon, you may cause the spear to strike the target's soul instead of their body. On a hit, the damage the spear deals can not be reduced in any way. If this property is used on a creature without a soul, such as some plants, constructs, or undead, the target instead takes no damage. This property can be used 7 times, regaining all uses at dawn.

Miraculous Throw. When a thrown attack is made with the spear of destiny, you may spend 2 uses of Soul-Piercer to force the target to attempt a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw as its dual tips pierce through the target's soul. On a failure, they are paralyzed until the spear is removed from their body. The target may attempt a DC 20 Constitution saving throw at the end of each of their turns, forcing the spear out of their body on a success. This ignores immunity to the paralyzed condition unless the target has no soul, such as some plants and constructs.
