Weapon (Any Sword), artifact (Requires attunement)

This item is a +3 weapon and deals an additional 2d6 necrotic damage, this sword is dull in detail as it is only black and has 7 marks, each symbolizes their meaning, the description for each of these marks will be detailed in their respective titles, upon attunement, this weapon consumes their atoners most used sword and transforms into it.
Random Properties. The The Sinblade has the following random properties:

  • 1 minor beneficial property
  • 1 major beneficial property
  • 1 minor detrimental property
  • 1 major detrimental property


Greed. Representing Greed, it shows a king asking for more riches as he sits on a pile of bodies and platinum of his own. Showing the thirst for more riches leads to unnecessary death, this weapon takes the souls of all that it slays, using it for its own strength but always wanting more power. When slaying a creature, you must be with in 30 ft of the body, it can contain:

  • 128 undersouls (Souls that are CR 1-5 when slain)
  • 64 weak souls (Souls that are CR 6-10 when slain)
  • 25 medium souls (Souls that are CR 11-15 when slain)
  • 10 strong souls (Souls that are CR 16-20 when slain)
  • 1 original soul (A soul that is worthy of being a strong God when slain (if it isn't already))

As long as this weapon contains a soul, that soul cannot be resurrected through any means.

Pride. Representing pride, it shows a female barbarian boasting about killing a dragon in a tavern, a customer trying to give advice becoming arrogant towards the commoner, the bartender and customers visibly annoyed, this shows that she was so prideful of her achievement she became arrogant and refused advice for the better of the tavern. This weapon is always trying to be the most and even boasts about its ability to do so, when it deals damage it makes a laugh, presumably to laugh at its opponent for being no match to the item, the weapon can deal damage no matter the immunities or resistances. The user can pick one damage type to become immune to, if the user has suffered the damage type within the past minute. Once you pick a damage type, you are immune to that damage type for a minute.

Lust. Representing lust, it shows a beautiful young woman with a sacrificial dagger, attracting young males to her, this shows that the young males were so attracted to the women that they did not care about the dangers of a luminous women just inviting them somewhere. The sword entices nearby souls to trap themselves in your blade passively. You must roll a 1d6 on a 6, you gain two weak souls, and you must roll a 1d12, on a 12, you gain a medium soul upon a long rest. If you roll a 6 and a 12 respectively, you also gain a strong soul.

Gluttony. Representing gluttony, it shows a man hungry for blood, committing mass genocide just because, this show that a powerful man was driven by a hungry for blood so bad that he killed many for that simple reason. This sword is always hungry for power, consuming other lesser magical weapons, up to a legendary rarity. It can take on the appearance of any weapon consumed using an action. You may also consume a soul to gain one buff from the weapon. After consuming a magical weapon, the item loses that ability and keeps the rest, if the weapon loses all ability, the weapon is consumed and no longer exists. This ability also connects with greed, you can consume any number of souls to the maximum as a bonus action unless said otherwise, you also gain the following power ups for one minute:

  • Undersouls: You gain 1 extra foot of movement for your next action for every soul consumed. Consuming 35 weak souls or more makes you immune to the effects of difficult terrain. The maximum is 50 souls.
  • Weak souls: you gain an additional +1 into your weapon every 15 weak souls consumed. The maximum is 60 souls.
  • Medium souls: You spend your next action to become immune to 2 conditions of your choice and when you consume 2 medium souls you can teleport 15 feet for every other 2 medium souls consumed. Consuming 10 medium souls increases your AC by 5 until your next turn. The maximum is 20 souls.
  • Strong souls: Your strength or dexterity score increases by 1 for every consumed soul. Consuming 5 strong souls gives you advantage on attack rolls, strength, dexterity checks and saving throws. The maximum is 15 souls.
  • Original soul: You enter a state of euphoria. Everything simply seems to make sense. The Sinblade turns into a blade of unimaginable sharpness. This state lasts 1 minute. Any attacks and saving throws made are at advantage, critical chance is reduced by 3, movement speed is increased by 30 feet, and you deal an additional 4d6 necrotic damage. The maximum is 1 soul.

Sloth. Representing sloth, it shows a queen too lazy to get out of bed as a window before her reveals that her kingdom is in anarchy, this shows the queen was too lazy to fix her kingdom but in return her kingdom is doomed to crumble. While holding this weapon it weighs triple the sword's weight, but you can take a short rest to receive the effects of a long rest, and you can gain the benefits of a short rest if you rest motionless for an hour.

Envy. Representing envy, it shows two brothers, one holds a trophy plated in gold, the other brother holding a trophy in bronze, the bronze winner is visibly jealous and seems to resent the other brother, this shows that jealousy can take a toll on the actions one may do to another. When a creature success two rolls in-a-row, the item becomes jealous, any rolls made against the creature those rolls are made with advantage, once this advantage is used against the creature, the creature must successes 2 more rolls for the item to become jealous again.

Wrath Representing wrath, it shows a human beating a dragonborn because they had a dispute of sorts, this shows that those creatures could not control their anger, so they attack each other because of their wrath. Once per day you can chose one creature type to make the item resent (dragons, undead, etc.), when making rolls against the creature type, you can add a +3 to any rolls made with that certain type.
Destroying the The Sinblade. If the wielder holds the blade while it is completely filled with at least 3 categories filled with souls, the wielder can sacrifice itself to set all the souls free. Upon this decision, all souls can choose to immediately go to the afterlife or their bodies if they can be resuscitated by any means.
