Staff, rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)
This roughhewn staff looks, feels, and smells like it was carved out of twisted, rotten branch of some cursed tree, yet it retains its shape even through the hardest impacts. Just holding it makes you feel like the rot is creeping into you from its damp wood.
The staff has 10 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following necromantic spells from it, using your spell save DC and spellcasting ability modifier: bestow curse (3 charges), blight (4 charges), blindness/deafness (2 charges), inflict wounds (1 charge), life transference (3 charges), ray of enfeeblement (2 charges), ray of sickness (1 charge), shadow of moil (4 charges), vampiric touch (3 charges), or wither and bloom (2 charges). Whenever you cast a spell using this staff, you can roll a Hit Die and add the result to the spell's spell save DC or spell attack modifier against one target. You must use this feature before the attack or saving throw is rolled.
The staff regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff falls apart into a pile of moist sawdust. As an action, you may roll a Hit Die and this staff gains charges equal to the result. Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until the next dawn.
