Weapon (Katana), Legendary (requires attunement)
The beloved sword of Suzuka Gozen and the brother of the Kenmyouren blade.
You gain a +2 to attack, and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and damage dealt by this weapon bypasses any resistances or immunities.
Blessing of Wisdom While you are attuned to this weapon, your Wisdom score is increased to 20 or increased by +2, whichever would be higher. Additionally, your ability score maximum for your Wisdom is increased to a maximum of 30.
Bodhisattva's Wisdom While wielding this weapon, you may invoke its dormant power transmitted by the Bodhisattva who created the blade. As an action, you may gain wisdom matching that of Manjushri enhancing your combat capabilities beyond that of any mortal. You gain the following benefits for the next hour:
- While attuned to this weapon, you gain proficiency with katanas if you did not already have it.
- You may use your Wisdom modifier for the attack and damage rolls of this weapon.
- Whenever you were to make a saving throw which would cause you to take half damage on a successful roll, you instead take no damage and only take half damage on a failure.
- You can cast the Clairvoyance spell, without expending a spell slot or material components.
- Whenever you would cast a spell, make a weapon attack, use a racial or feature which makes a ranged attack of any kind, double the range of it, and ignore the long-range penalties of the attack.
- Whenever you would use a spell, racial, or feature which would affect all creatures within range, you may now choose which creatures within range will not be affected.
- Your mind can no longer be unwillingly read, nor can the connection between your mind and body be intercepted. You are immune to being forcefully charmed, frightened.
You may extend the duration of these benefits by expending 2 hit die to increase the duration by an hour.
Twin Blades United When the user of this blade is attuned to its twin sword Kenmyouren, the benefits of your blessing of intelligence feature increase to a +4 bonus if your Wisdom was already 20 or higher. You also gain additional benefits whenever you activate your Bodhisattva's Wisdom feature:
- You may take a number of additional reactions per round equal to half of your Wisdom Modifier (rounded down).
- Your movement speed is doubled and you now ignore the effects of difficult terrain as your body now moves with serene grace and efficiency.
- You gain an unarmored defense of 16 + Your Wisdom Modifier.
- The connection between your mind and body further strengthens allowing you to become immune to the Stunned, Incapacitated, and Paralyzed conditions.
- While wielding the Kenmyouren, both it and Shoutouren are now considered light weapons for the purpose of dual wielding.
- Whenever you attack using either the Shoutouren or Kenmyouren, you may make a second attack as part of the same attack action with the other twin weapon instead of using a bonus action while dual wielding.
- You may cast the Heavenly Demon Rain spell, once every dawn.
Daitsuuren If the user of this blade is attuned to both Shoutouren and Kenmyouren, and they have both an intelligence and wisdom scores above a 20, they may manifest the legendary blade Daitsuuren.
