It is said that many Shirai Ryu swordmasters sacrificed their lives to protect their clan when the Lin Kuei attacked. Their efforts were not in vain, as the Shirai Ryu have gone on not only to survive, but flourish and pass on their techniques to a new generation of swordmasters.
