From D&D Wiki
Schrödinger[edit]
Medium humanoid, lawful evil Armor Class 13
Saving Throws Dex +6, Cha +6 Variant Languages. If Schrödinger is being used in a modern campaign with real-world languages, he can speak and write English, German, and Latin. Heads or Tails. Once per turn when a creature consumes part of Schrödinger's body or soul, they gain 1 use of Impermanence, which still costs 1 spirit point. When they use Impermanence, they must roll 1d20. On a roll of 11 or higher, they may use the feature normally. On a roll of 10 or lower, they lose awareness of themself, removing them from reality altogether. They may attempt a DC 30 Charisma saving throw once per year in the exact moment this happened. On a success, they are reconstituted where they originally disappeared. Spirit Points. Schrödinger has 9 spirit points which he may expend. He regains all spirit points at the end of a long rest. ACTIONSUnarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 5) bludgeoning damage. Impermanence (1 Spirit Point). As an action while no creature s are actively observing Schrödinger in any way that would change with the following effect (i.e. hearing, seeing, touching, not smelling), he instantly return to full hit points, loses any conditions or effects effecting him, and he may teleport to any location he can visualize, as he deletes and recreates himself on a reality-warping level. He may do this even if he should otherwise not be able to take actions, such as if he is dead or incapacitated, unless he has already taken an action this turn.

Despite looking to be in his early teens, Schrödinger is actually over 90 years old, holding the rank of Warrant Officer in Millennium. Easy to kill, but almost impossible to keep dead, he was created by the Doctor under order of the Major out of biological material most likely from the Captain. As such, Schrödinger is an artificial werewolf, or more accurately a werecat. He is playful and lighthearted, often making jokes at the expense of his superiors, to his father/creator's dismay, but to their subject's amusement. Similar to the Major's love of all forms of war, including loss; Schrödinger is lighthearted and joyful in all matters, including the deaths of his comrades. His powers originate from his unstable physical nature, as he only exists so long as he is aware of himself, thus if he is aware of himself in a way that he is not, he simply will become the new state, even to the lengths of being able to believe he is alive while dead. In his final moments during World War 3, he beheaded himself with a smile on his face using a small knife before hurling his lifeless body into the sea of blood being absorbed by Alucard. Absorbing his essence, Alucard lost himself for 30 years before becoming almost completely unkillable due to being able to utilize the full extent of his newly acquired powers. |
