Domains. War, Blood

It is a great big flaming red star in space. It wants to see blood spilled.
Physical Description[edit]
Sanguar, known to many as The Blood Star, is a Great Old One that lurks amongst the stars; an entity from the far realm, possessing the remains of a dead sun. Sanguar appears as a vibrant, pulsing red star that wanders continuously across sky. If one were to view it up close, its surface would look as an ocean of blood with violent, frothing waves.
Behaviour[edit]
Sanguar desires bloodshed, on scales yet untold. It desires war, chaos, mayhem, and fervor, all to further its agenda of spilling more blood.
Followers[edit]
Sanguar maintains a number of active followers, both individual warlocks and cults of dedicated clerics. It rewards their loyalty with access to its exclusive selection of eldritch blood magic, which covers a niche range of both offensive and supportive effects.
Clerics of Sanguar's cloth are not typically sound of mind. Shrines or temples to it are incredibly rare, and it is more often worshipped in musty basements or dank sewers, away from prying eyes. If a blood cult gets its ball rolling enough to establish public control, however, then the temple will rise up soon after.
A temple of Sanguar is first mined out wholesale as a single block of rock, then dragged to its soon-to-be holy site. Workers hollow out its inside to create a spacious indoor cavity, and masons go over the rest to chisel in fine detailing, half-controlled by Sanguar's guiding hand.
The outer façade of Sanguar's temple is ornate: One's mind is reminded of ancient Greek acropolises and ampitheatres, with its emphasis on decorative pillars and wide wall-spanning reliefs depicting gruesome battlefields of frenzy and slaughter. features an angled roof which funnels rain into elaborate gutterwork, channeling rain away from the building through gargoyle visages.
The inside is single round room, no smaller than 30 feet wide. The room's center sports a sacrificial plinth — For the blood sacrifices, you see — with drainage channels leading away and flowing into eldritch circles etched all around the temple floor. This entire setup is used to appeal to Sanguar's bloodlust with intricate dark rituals. In return, Sanguar grants its loyal, competent followers the power to harness its bloodfire magic.
