Buggy Link[edit]

"a dragon has the following featured" the saving throw part has a fudged link. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.108.164.233 (talkcontribs) 09:55, 13 February 2008 (MST). Please sign your posts.

Sam Kay got it, thanks for bringing it up. --Green Dragon 12:16, 13 February 2008 (MST)

Dragon Senses[edit]

A Dragon in 3.5 has Darkvision 120ft and Keen Senses (instead of 60ft and low-light vision)WurmD 14:49, 2 September 2011 (MDT)

True dragons have Darkvision 120ft and low-light vision ×4. Other creatures of the dragon type—such as wyverns and dragon turtles—merely have darkvision 60ft. and low-light vision ×2 (unless specified otherwise in their description). —Sledged (talk) 15:31, 2 September 2011 (MDT)

Everything's a dragon?[edit]

Every creature on this wiki shows up as a dragon. Upon closer inspection, every type has every creature under it. Green Dragon, help your kin!

DPL[edit]

Should this DPL be changed so that only 3.5 creatures show up? Currently it's showing creatures from 3.0 and 5e. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 22:37, 9 October 2017 (MDT)

Oversized Weapons[edit]

"Proficient with its natural weapons only unless humanoid in form (or capable of assuming humanoid form), in which case proficient with all simple weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entry.". Hm...

Large-sized weapons deal a lot of damage - more than most Dragon's natural attacks. That means, SRD:True Dragon could deal a lot more damage if they strapped upscaled weapons to all striking appendages (fists, jaws, wings, tail, "whole body" crushing). Since they're rich, they can afford it.

Also, they do transport treasures to their hoard somehow. They could store loot in Pack Saddle or Saddlebags upscaled to their size - but, they need to put item into bag, and out of it. Also, they're usually seen without bags, presumably only taking them in raids - meaning, they can take on and off their Pack Saddle/Saddlebags without outside help. That heavily implies what their hands are prehensile - like human hands. So, they could fire a gun by laying on their belly and using 2 forward legs as hands; or even stand on hind legs while using forward legs as arms to swing oversized weapons around. --95.167.183.235 04:48, 31 October 2024 (MDT)

  • Actually in that case, many True Dragons could afford to be nomadic. For example, SRD:Treasure of Old Red Dragon is about 5400 lbs (and 9600 lbs at theoretical most), assuming it's all stored in form of gold coins (magic item's weight are negligible). Pack Saddle "holds as much gear as the mount can carry". Said Old Red Dragon could carry around: 31920 lbs on Light Load, 63960 lbs on Medium Load, 96000 lbs on Heavy Load, 192000 lbs on Staggeringly Overloaded, 159900 lbs Pushing In Unfavorable Circumstances, 480000 lbs Pushing In Normal Circumstances, 1920000 lbs Pushing In Good Circumstances. In other words - he could take 5 copies of his own treasure hoard, put it all in dragon-sized Pack Saddle, and don't get any penalties for that; and he wouldn't even notice weight of 1 hoard. --95.167.183.235 05:15, 31 October 2024 (MDT)
