Thoughts[edit]

What might be a great idea is if there was a section about concealing armor which a person is wearing. What skill would be used, disguise? Is it even possible for certain types of armor? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.228.159.143 (talkcontribs) 18:13, 11 June 2008 (MDT). Please sign your posts.

Missing Armors[edit]

I think some armors are missing - like the ones in the Arms + Equipment Guide. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 206.193.242.158 (talkcontribs) 13:41, 16 March 2009 (MDT). Please sign your posts.

Those are not SRD, so we can't list them.--Dmilewski 16:36, 16 March 2009 (MDT)
There they are. There's DnD 3e stuff and more DnD 3e stuff. --109.62.160.129 18:55, 29 December 2024 (UTC)

Missing Armored Prosthesis[edit]

Are there any crude prosthesis and augments what make you tougher? Not the "Flaws" type - but rather, those what make body tougher. Nails being replaced with metal claws, sharp metal teeth, bones being replaced or reinforced with metal, armor sewn or implanted into body, body parts being replaced with bigger-tougher-heavier metal equivalents, etc. Magical healing will fix any "rejection" problems and like. Especially if it's Undead or Construct - as they have no "rejection" and no pain.

For example, if "normal" peg leg is usual wooden leg - then, "armored" one is heavy, thick and entirely made of high-quality steel, to the point what it's bullet-proof; some are thicker than normal leg, despite being solid cast. It may make you slower, but it should make you tougher due to it's resilience.

Or, for another example - "armored" jaw prosthesis is massive, orkish-looking jaw made of thick solid metal. It's so tough, what if it's hit with sword, it's more likely for sword to get damaged than "the other way around".

And that's before going for Undead, who have no metabolism and no "rejection". They can cram their bodies with as much metal as they like. Bones replaced or reinforced with metal, spikes protruding in all directions, metal being sewn into body, armored plates stuffed into body, all sorts of horrific bladed weaponry grafted on them, etc.

So, was that in some book? That's not SRD, but at least can you say in which book it was? --109.62.160.129 18:14, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
