Weapon (whip), legendary (requires attunement by a cleric or paladin)
A flail used by the bulbous Father of the Painted World to shred his own skin, producing blood to appease The Flame. Both a weapon and a miracle catalyst. Ariandel, being the restorer of the Painted World, knew that it was painted with blood, and only blood could protect the secret.
The old, blood-stained ropes of this weapon end in metal tips resembling crow talons that slowly drip fresh blood from them. Any divine caster is considered to be proficient with this weapon. This whip has a +2 bonus to attack rolls, the reach property, and may act as a holy symbol. It deals 2d4 slashing damage, alongside 1d6 piercing damage from the claw-like clamps at the ends.
Awakening. As a bonus action, you can violently flail yourself to trigger a magical awakening within the whip, boosting the strength of your spells. When a spell is cast successfully, increase the dice used by the spell by two die for spell attacks, healing, and AoE spells (ex. 1d6 becomes 3d6). When you use this action, you take 2d4+3 slashing damage and 1d6 piercing damage, as you are attacking yourself to spill blood for the enchantment to take effect.
