After the family took control of their homeland they set up a court system so they could keep in touch with their living subjects, the court was guarded by a man named Rofstein who was mortal, Valkek had raised this man since he was a boy to be loyal to the vampiric overlords, it was to prove to the other vampires that humans could learn to fall in line, the experiment was unfortunately a success, and Rofstein was loyal till the end. An uprising near the end of the vampires rule and spilled over into the court, the rebels attacking anyone who was loyal to the vampires Rofstein gathered all the court members and made a bulwark, Rofstein killed more them thirty-five mortal men protecting other mortal men. Not a single vampire died that day, over sixty were born, including Rofstein who immediately retook his position, until Valkek became a god and Vain shared his spark with Rofstein.
