4th-level Transmutation | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
---|---|
Range: | Touch |
Components: | V, S |
Duration: | Concentration, up to 1 minute |
When you hit a creature with a melee spell attack, the target takes 4d6 bludgeoning damage. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or become Disoriented for the duration. While disoriented, the target has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks that involve balance and coordination (such as Acrobatics and Athletics checks). At the start of each of its turns, the target also takes 1d6 psychic damage.
Planetary Augmentation. If you are firmly grounded on solid terrain, you can absorb additional energy by spending 1 round channeling (without losing concentration). The initial bludgeoning damage increases to 6d6, the ongoing psychic damage increases to 2d6, and the target has disadvantage on the Constitution saving throw.
Lingering Psychological Trauma. If the target fails three Constitution saving throws while under this effect, it becomes Frightened until it completes a long rest. The target is tormented by nightmares and equilibrium disturbances.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the initial bludgeoning damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th.
