Pufferfish poison is a lethal toxin that can be extracted from the spines of a dead or incapacitated giant pufferfish, or acquired from aquatic merchants. If the toxin is applied directly into the bloodstream, a creature makes the save at disadvantage. When ingested or when a creature is subjected to this poison, a creature must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 7 (2d6) poison damage. If the saving throw is failed by 5 or more, the creature also becomes vulnerable to piercing damage for 1 hour, or until after they finish a long rest. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. Creatures with a natural immunity to poison damage instead regain 7 (2d6) hit points and make Strength checks and Strength saving throws with advantage for 1 hour.
